Magnificent "Concrete Church" of Reykjavik

The Hallgrimskirkja or commonly known as the Concrete Church of Reykjavik is a Lutheran parish church in Reykjavik. It is the largest church in Iceland and is a magnificent architectural wonder. It is the 6th tallest structure in Iceland. It is one of the best Reykjavik landmark. It was blustery and icy when we visited the church, hence it was not the best time nor condition to visit. We managed to get into the church where we saw the awe inspiriing vaulted ceiling and the beautiful pipe organ. On a better condition day, one can go up the observation deck where a panoramic view of Reykjavik can be observed. Unfortunately for us, that was not possible due to the storm that was prevailing during our city tour. Definitely a must see attraction and highly recommended.
